The flow sensors from Huba Control AG have been awarded System 1+ drinking water conformity by the German Federal Environment Agency (UBA). The UBA is Germany's central environmental authority and places particularly high demands on products in contact with drinking water in order to protect the health of consumers.
The certification procedure for System 1+ conformity was carried out in cooperation with the certification body HyCert. The declaration of conformity is based on the initial testing of the products, the initial testing at the production site and the continuous monitoring and regular follow-up testing after the certificate has been issued. The accredited testing institute confirmed conformity with all requirements of the UBA assessment principles, in particular the KTW-BWGL. With this certification, Huba flow sensors fulfil the highest German standards for drinking water hygiene.
"Our vortex flow sensors not only comply with the strict limit values for organic and inorganic substances, but fall well below them. This is the result of comprehensive material testing and repeated tests under realistic operating conditions as part of the certification process," says Patrick Padova, Product and Approval Manager at Huba Control AG. "This gives our customers peace of mind and is reliable proof of our high material and manufacturing quality."
